The motion picture 'LOOK' opened in theaters in LA and NYC over the weekend to sold-out crowds and the official website, look-themovie.com (developed by Xcreative), gets tens of thousands of hits daily! ...other news. Synthetic Cinema's film 'Werewolf: The Devil's Hound' was the #6 most rented direct-to-video film in the US last week. Featured Project: LOOK (Official Motion Picture Website)
Shot entirely from the point of view of public security cameras. Adam Rifkin’s "LOOK" follows several interweaving storylines over the course of a random week in a random city. The film which comes to theaters December 2007 is getting rave reviews from the likes of USA Today to Vanity Fair and is boosting the discussion of personal privacy to a new level in the media. Much like "LOOK" isn't your normal movie experience, the website wasn't developed to be your run-of-the-mill movie website either. The site is filled with many features were users can interact and add their own content and views. The site makes you painfully aware that there is little privacy in this post 9/11 world. Are you being watched?

Featured Project: Yale University
Yale School of Forestry and Environmental studies needed a web application which could organize the usage of classrooms and special events. The application must be able to detect conflicts in schedule down to the half hour, as well as providing a way to schedule repeating events. This organizational system was to have three parts: 1 - A public area in which professors etc. could request a room online. 2- An administration area which would allow for event approvals/edits/removals, repeating events, and emailing approvals. 3 - The calendar must have HTML output for use on the homepage(environment.yale.edu), as well as a special type of file (ICS) which allows users to use their own calendar program (ical, sunbird) to view the data. The "calendar system" was built using a combination browser scripting languages known as AJAX(Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) and PHP with a MySQL database.
